With Bentley's 100th anniversary set to be next year, the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition of Mulsanne. It pays homage to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley includes a part from one of his cars.
The special model can be ordered with a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by a 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of the car can be seen in the interior. For example, a Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet features a display with a piece of the 8 Litre crankshaft displaying inside.
Other highlights include a chrome application that runs backwards along the side of the car that has a photoetched B-shaped air vent which incorporates W.O. The front grille is designed on 1930s-inspired Onyx and there's a chrome finish around the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille also has distinctive design, with an aluminum shell that replaces the body-colored mesh of the Mulsanne. It also features the Flying B Logo.
The key box is engraved with Bentley wings and has an black flock lining. Individual key pouches can be purchased to match or contrast the key box. The set of commemorative items includes the scale model in 1:18 and an air-borne "B" paperweight. It also includes an unpublished booklet with never before seen images of the original Bentley 8 Litre.
